We are a no-till, market farm. While we're not organically certified, we use only organic practices and strive to use organic seeds and transplants when we can. Being a no-till farm means that we're using nearly 100% non-fossil fuel tools (“implements”) on the farm. We don't invert our soil and the general goal of the farm is to build soil health that we believe will lead to ecological and personal health as well.

A church needs a farm because it needs a space in which to live out its values in the “real stuff” of this world. It provides a physical place to interact with creation, with each other, to live out our values (hospitality, generosity, diversity, etc.), and to carry out our covenants.
-
Yes, but we think of the word “charitable” as encompassing more than you might usually expect. We do believe that giving food to those in need is an important act of charity for us to participate in.
However, we also truly see “charity” present in the very work of the farm itself. As we come together as people from all different types of backgrounds, interests. and abilities, we learn what it looks like to offer and receive charity from one another and from the Lord.

We have grand ambitions to create a food community across central North Carolina, stretching out in an hour and a half radius from the Greensboro area. To do that we need financial partners to come alongside of us to help create a commercial kitchen, more cold storage, and an outdoor classroom. To learn more about how you can be a part, or to receive a copy of our 5 year strategic plan, contact Steven our farm director and he’d love to talk with you!
Volunteering
-
We would be so glad to have you! Check out our volunteer page here for some more information!
-
Absolutely! We love getting to meet and work with volunteers from all walks of life.
-
Please wear close-toed shoes and pants, and always make sure to bring water and sunscreen. Sunglasses or a hat can come in handy sometimes, too!
-
Yes, we have a range every week. If you have particular types of work which would best suit you and your needs, please let us know and we can make sure we set up the projects well for you!
-
We love kids at the farm! We do find that if your child is under the age of 8, it’s pretty difficult to directly focus on farm work—but please bring your kids anyways and come be a part of our community with your family!
If your children are from 8-12 yrs. old, we do ask that the ratio of parent to child be 1:1.
Food/Produce
-
We run a CSA (community supported agriculture) Farm Box program several times a year which you can purchase at our store! Each week of the share includes $25 worth of fresh farm produce, and you’re given the option to add other locally cultivated items like flowers, bread, and eggs. We also sell our produce at Deep Roots Market and at other pop up markets.
Please get in contact with our farm director Steven if you have any questions about our produce!

You can pick up your food here at the farm (5572 Garden Village Way, Greensboro, NC 27410) 7 days a week during business hours, or we do deliver to Holy Trinity Anglican and the House.

As a part of our CSA Farm Produce program, our subscribers receive a resource guide every week, Facebook group, videos in the work, and staff and volunteers who would love to share any food wisdom they have. This is a community filled with people new to the idea of local food, and others who are eager to share what they know!
